What does the treatment entail?

- We must follow strict antiseptic and procedural protocols.
- Administration and consents must be attended to.
- Photographic records need to be established.
- The nails are carefully thinned and cleared of all dead tissue in preparation of the nails to get them to an optimal state prior to lasing of the tissues.
- The PinPointe FootLaser is then applied to each nail and its surrounding skin in a careful and prescribed manner. This may take up to 45-50 minutes or so depending on the level of infection and the amount of digits involved.
- Safety goggles are won throughout the process and at the end of the lasing surface antifungals applied, and future antifungal procedures explained.
- We require that you attend a review at 4 and 8 months following the treatment so that we can remove any new dead tissue and nail and keep the nails in best condition. This is an inclusive service with your treatment. If you wish you can book in for extra nail management treatments for an extra fee.
- Nails are normally slow to grow and it will take many months for the new nail to create full growth.
- Should you have any questions about the treatment we are more than happy to answer them.
