The ‘Before’ picture shows a nail invasively damaged by a dermatophyte infection. In this case the female patient had tried most commonplace antifungal treatments, but experienced no benefit. The nail had been damaged all the way back to the point of primary growth.
To treat this all of the contaminated nail needed to be cut back; this removes any degenerate diseased and unhealthy tissue. The infection was very long standing and there was evidence of fungal infection in a number of other nails, so a standard treatment protocol was applied to all the nails on that foot using the PinPointe FootLaser. At just 4 months after the primary lase there was a remarkable state of recovery. Much of the nail has re-grown totally free of any contamination and is in a good condition.
This ‘After’ picture reveals a fully recovered nail 10 months after the initial lase. It is an outstanding result when you considers the treatment has involved only PinPointe Laser treatment and the application of simple topical medication (applied only to protect the recovering area against any potential skin born contamination).
